boston adventures: boston public library, back bay, and boston public garden

Over twenty years ago my family took a trip to Boston to attend a family wedding. I was under the age of two so, naturally, I have no recollection of the trip. (Good thing for pictures!)  I'd always heard how fun and charming the city is, so when Danny and I were planning a trip for the Summer, I was totally on board with the idea of going back to Boston!

I instantly fell in love with the city. With all of it's old architecture, and close to four hundred years of history to its name, Boston is an American treasure. I was so ready to soak it all in.

On our first night in the city we explored Copley Square. Located there is the Boston Public Library. Being the art history fanatic that I am, I'd been dying to see this building and it's interior.

I could study here for dayyyys.
I'd love to check out Rambles in Old Boston
Pretty courtyard.

After dinner, we scoped out the Back Bay area. The warm evening brought everyone outside. Sidewalks were filled with friends enjoying each other's company over dinner and musicians jamming out together.

There were so many cool buildings like this one ... I have a love affair with red brick.

Towards the end of our walk we stopped and relaxed for a bit in the Boston Public Garden. It was so peaceful and the sunset was gorgeous!
George Washington. The man. The legend.

Stay tuned for more! :)
