easter sunday

I hope everyone had a fun and happy Easter! We had a wild Easter egg hunt and brunch with Danny's family, and Easter dinner with my family. I love family time! Here are some photos from the day ...
To get in the fun spirit of the holiday, Danny and I put together an Easter package for Allie's family. I love making packages to surprise them! Oh and that picture of Mark holding the bunny? That totally melts my heart. I knew he would love it when I saw it sitting upon the store shelf.

I love Easter and the Springtime feeling it brings. The air gets warmer, the snow turns to rain, the flowers start blooming, and everything feels so fresh and new. I always feel so rejuvenated during this time of year. Even more than all of these things, I love this time of year because of what it symbolizes for me. It reminds me that my Savior rose again on that Sunday morning. It reminds me that no matter how dark our Fridays might sometimes seem, that bright Sunday morning will always come.

Take a look back ...

bridals: part one

It's my and Danny's first wedding anniversary today! I can't believe how fast this year has gone. In the spirit of celebrating, how about I share some more of our wedding photos? Remember when I shared the moment Danny saw me in my dress for the first time? Here are some more photos from that location ...

Happy anniversary, darling! I love you more than all the stars in the sky! xo

atlanta: bubbles, paint, & an elephant ride

On my second day in Atlanta, we spent the morning outdoors blowing magical purple bubbles. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the actual bubbles, but trust me, they were cool!

Later, we moved inside to do some painting! We had brushes, but using our hands just seemed so much fun ...

That night Allie took us to the mall for a carousel ride and some ice cream cones! Mark took the exotic route and chose to ride on the elephant! :)

atlanta: a day at the park

On my first day in Atlanta Allie packed up a picnic and took me and Mark to one of their local parks! Can I just say how pretty Georgia is? I loved being amongst so many trees again. It's something that will always make me ache for the East Coast.

Dipping strawberries in Greek yogurt ... best idea ever, Allie!
Reunited!
Building a sand castle ... for some reason I led Mark to believe that a mound of sand with a stick in the middle constituted a sand castle. Let's just call it a rustic sand castle.
We found a sundial! The park had lots of cool treasures like this. (I wish I had gotten a picture of the giant xylophone!)
Big kid swinging.

The day (and several days after) ended with treats and catching up on series two of Downton Abbey. I was so excited when Allie mentioned we should watch it once I was there. It's much more fun to watch with someone, preferably your sister who totally appreciates British humor and Matthew's crystal clear blue eyes. (THOSE EYES.)

Note to fellow D.A. fans: Yes, I'm putting myself through series three even though I know (spoiler!) that half of the characters are killed off by the end of it. (Just rip my heart out, PBS.)

More to come ... :)
