a trip to the farmer's market and a hike

This morning Danny and I spent time at the farmer's market in Salt Lake City. We love to go and try out some of the many tasty treats they have there.

Later in the day we hiked up to a lake in Bell Canyon. It was perfect - nice and easy. And the views are gorgeous! (If you're looking for more of a challenge, you can take the trail further to a waterfall.)

happy birthday, america!

Untitled

To my American friends and family,

I hope you had a delightful July 4th! Danny and I attended two family barbecues and the RSL vs. New England soccer game. I love this holiday, not just for the fireworks, outdoorsy events, and American delicacies (Can you call hotdogs and hamburgers and potato salad delicacies? I'm doing it), but for the time to reflect on this incredible country we live in. I love that, as Americans, we are fighters at heart. We are dreamers, and we believe that, if we work really hard, we can change our stars and the world. May we never forget those who have gone before us, and risked their lives for our freedoms. Happy birthday, America!

P.S. Did you see this? The 26 Most American Comebacks in the World. I just about died laughing. We really love our country. (FYI, it does have some language.)
