i like watching the puddles gather rain.

Yesterday I woke up and it was sunny. Normally, I like that about summers in Utah. But yesterday was different. I wanted rain. A good downpour. I was craving it. 

Later in the afternoon it started getting dark and cloudy. And lo and behold the sky started crying. It wasn't a downpour or anything, but it was definitely raining - not the typical Utahn sprinkle.

This wasn't supposed to happen. I checked the weather the night before. (Which I hardly ever do anymore.) Monday = sunny. But for whatever reason the universe decided to appease me.

To my dear mother, I wanted to dedicate this little post today to you. Thank you for listening to my many many stories, giving me the most sound advice, and despite my many shortcomings, loving me anyway.
