Happy Thanksgiving, world! Nikki, Ben, Andrew and I are headed off to Scotland for a few days on holiday! (Is it cool if i say holiday and not break?) We are pretty pumped. Hello castles, celtic music, plaid and of course: the freezing cold. Don't worry, I've got like five layers (including thermals) and a thick scarf and coat on. The Scotland winter won't have nothing on me.
It's weird to be in a place that doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving. But we are doing our best to make up for it. We'll see what we can find for a Thanksgiving feast. In the meantime, ten things I'm thankful for (especially this year):
1. My family (who've made this all possible)
2. My friends (back home + here in England)
3. The chance to live and study in my favorite place in the whole world
4. Warm showers + heat
5. My wellies
6. My legs (since I walk and/or hike everywhere)
7. The gospel and the church (makes everywhere I go feel more like home)
8. Blue powerade (seriously helps me with my dehydration issues)
9. Holiday music (instantly makes things better. even studying for finals.)
10. The Brits that put up with my horrible habit of dropping my gloves and run after me to return them to me.
My deepest gratitude to all of these people and things that have made this experience so wonderful.
And of course, thank you to YOU for reading. Goodnight, world.

I am really quite jealous of you for all the experiences you've had, including Scotland. But I hope you had a ball! And I meant to ask - you have a dehydration problem too? I am almost positive I do. I don't know what my deal is. But I am pretty sure every time I've been sick lately it's because I let myself get dried out. Anyway, I loved this post and loved your list and can't wait to see pictures of all of your adventures NEXT week! Love you!
in response to your comment on meine blog: yes, sera I did have fun getting sick in the Sea Grill bathroom during thanksgiving dinner. And it was a joy to be sick through the parade. At least I didn't get to shed any pounds because late that night I got my appetite back and ate an entire Italian restaurant.
But whose complaining ;)

You are welcome. Nice list. ENJOY your last weekend in London-town!!! Wish I were there with you! Seize the day(s) and be sure to go and see as many Christmas lights as you can before you leave. It may be a while before you're back in London during the Christmas season, ya know?
Btw, I saw a report two nights ago that showed the train to Brighton (from Victoria Station) completely stranded in the snow. Glad we went when we did! Cheers.
