sundance and the moon

Just over a month ago my mom, Hannah, and I spent the evening in Sundance having dinner and taking a full moon lift ride -- something I've always wanted to do!

I have such a fondness for these mountains, and I so loved spending an evening in them, breathing in all they have to offer. The full moon shone brightly above our heads. The cabins lit up like candles spread across the town beneath us. Truly a spectacular scene. 

For those interested, Sundance will have full moon lift rides on specified days in August and September. Be sure to layer up, as it does get cold in the mountains once the sun goes down!

Last month Danny's soccer team, Kodiak FC, played in a tournament in Seattle. We drove up to watch them play! I didn't get any pictures from Friday night's game, but here are some photos from Saturday's morning game ...

Between games on Saturday, we went into the city! Everyone told us we had to come to Pike's Place Market, so that was our first stop! And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!

I have a few friends from work (Seattle locals) that recommended we go to Gas Works Park for cool views of the city. Once you get to the park, you climb up a little hill and here's the view. Quite spectacular. 

The park is located at the site of an old gas plant. (Hence, "Gas Works.") Pretty neat structure.

It was such a fun trip and I loved Seattle in all it's green glory. I hope we can spend some more time there soon! For any interested in more soccer photos (and video clips!), I put this video together:

Back in May, we flew out to San Diego to attend the wedding of Tyler and Ashley! I absolutely love these two. It was such a fun weekend! Here are a few photos from the trip ...
