let me start off by saying how much i love music groups that have both male and female voices. the contrast makes for such a rich sound.
okay, now let me tell you a story.
in april of last year ahlin and i were sitting in her basement, chilling on her couch, and - per usual - gina had her guitar. at first she was just strumming, but then she started singing brandi carlisle's "that year". instantly, i fell in love with her voice. it was raw and real and gorgeous. seriously. i was like, can i just record her? would that be weird?
well friends, i didn't have to. because she joined up with her friend mitchell and now they have a band. they call themselves
elephant shortcut. and they own that rich male/female sound that i love so very much. so if you love/crave/obsess over music as much as i do, or even if you kinda like music, you should probably check them out.
